Public health & environmental health

Find county and independent city public-health departments, local programme information and environmental-health permits or inspection resources.

Before you start

  • County departments and independent city health departments have different jurisdictions. Long Beach, Pasadena and Berkeley retain their own entries.
  • These guides include reviewed programme links and selected purpose-specific contacts. Availability, clinical eligibility, fees, inspections and exact service areas remain programme-specific.
  • Santa Barbara County Health pages currently expose very little programme content; a complete county department review is still missing. Yolo HHSA has WIC information but its general public-health department identity remains a separate gap.
