Unclaimed money & property

Find official claim instructions, documentation and claim-status help from the California State Controller.

Before you start

  • Use the official portal for your own property. CountyWiki does not collect names, claim identifiers, account records or property search results.
  • SCO does not charge a claiming fee. Document requirements depend on whether you are an owner, heir, business or agency.
  • The active legacy SCO pages and the newer claimit portal coexist. Follow the current portal and your claim-specific instructions.
