Workplace rights and wage claims

Find wage claims, workplace retaliation complaints, minimum wage information and the correct Labor Commissioner office.

Before you start

  • Choose a task or county on the map. These EDD and Labor Commissioner programmes serve California statewide; personal eligibility and the correct claim route still matter.
  • Use UI customer service for an existing unemployment claim. An AJCC can help file a new claim but cannot fix an existing claim issue; call a center before visiting.
  • A wage claim, a labor-law report, a retaliation complaint and a public-works complaint are different processes. Check the type of claim and its deadline before filing.
  • Confirm local center services and current wage rules for your work location. EDD, local workforce partners and the Labor Commissioner handle different programmes.
